Horizon Music | Driven AM

Originating in the UK and currently based in San Francisco, the Bachelors of Science have graduated with honors into the electronic music scene. Chris and Phil calibrate their musical tastes to the most precise standards, introducing a unique saturation of orchestral beats blended with radiant vocals. Their breakthrough DnB debut “Science Fiction” is amongst the top selling DnB albums of all time. The track “Song For Lovers” was an instant liquid classic and the Apex remix of “Strings Track” won Best DnB Track at the 2009 Beatport Awards.
The duo has calibrated their careers to the most precise standards and rapidly tipped the scales in their favor, obtaining play from top DJs including but not limited to: Marky, Grooverider, High Contrast, Doc Scott, and Alix Perez. Interest in their musical fluidics has been confirmed by sample collection in the field. Festival appearances ranging from Love Parade and Hospitality abroad, to stateside performances such as Burning Man and the WMC. BoS have also been well received within electronic literature, with articles appearing in Mixmag, XLR8A, and Knowledge Magazine. Evidence from multiple sources predicts future scientific experimental success. Recently they’ve gone back in the lab and emerged with their second full length LP Warehouse Dayz. Join us for a very special last Friday, when we ring in the New Year 2011 with Bachelors of Science.

NATHAN DARK -PHL
Electro/Tech house
Propaganda | collective impulse

Originally from Telluride, Colorado, Nathan had his Dj beginnings in drum and bass in the late 90′s before switching to breaks and house when moving to Phoenix early 2000. Since then he has played in some of the most influential clubs and parties from coast to coast including Club Freedom in Phoenix, Nocturnal Wonderland in L.A., and the Pex Summer Festival here in Philly. Since moving to Philadelphia, he founded and residents at Propaganda Thursdays at Medusa Lounge which continues to book some of the brightest and best djs in the city and is also the newest member of the infamous F.O.H. crew. Nathan’s style can range from jackin techy house to hard electro and is bound to keep the dance floor movin.

DZA-PHL
House
Hello World | Stakeout

DZA is the only American alive today to have had conversations with both Adolf Hitler and Jesus Christ (History Channel Special forthcoming). It’s well-known that DZA hates ridiculous DJ bios where some human jukebox goes on and on about how he played “alongside” DJs who have more frequent flyer miles than he’ll ever have or some other unverifiable crap. Let’s just put it this way, DZA will keep your ears and feet happy with a balance of house and techno that is hard to come by in this city. He also enjoys home-brewing and writing/performing sketch comedy with Ian Vaflor as Junior Barnes, which makes a lot of sense considering how boozed up and funny this guy is. Seriously, we once watched him drink a growler of Mad Elf and proceed to upstage Dane Cook at the Borgata. True story. Kinda…
